Controller

William Slabbaert, individual data controller, residing in Thailand (291/112 On Nut Rd, Phra Khanong Nuea, Watthana, Bangkok 10260). Contact for privacy requests: william.sl@outlook.com.

What is collected and why

When you accept the cookie banner, this site stores a random identifier (UUID v4) in your browser'slocalStorage under the key wk. From that moment on, each page visit and each click on a link or button is recorded, together with the identifier, a timestamp, and a truncated version of your IP address (last octet zeroed for IPv4; last 80 bits dropped for IPv6).

Nothing is logged if you reject the banner, if you have never answered it, or if your browser blocks localStorage.

The purpose is to understand how recruiters navigate the portfolio so I can improve the pages that matter to them. It is not sold, shared with marketers, or used for any automated decision-making under GDPR Article 22.

Legal basis

Your consent, under GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and the ePrivacy Directive Article 5(3) as transposed in Belgian law (WEC Article XII.13). You may withdraw consent at any time via the "Manage privacy" button in the site footer; withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.

Retention

Analytics rows are automatically deleted 90 days after they are written. Your consent record itself lives only in your own browser's localStorage and is removed when you clear it or use "Manage privacy".

Recipients and processors

  • Netlify, Inc. (United States) — static site hosting and serverless function execution. Covered by Netlify's DPA.
  • Turso / ChiselStrike, Inc. (database region: EU-Frankfurt) — managed SQLite database that stores the analytics table. Covered by Turso's DPA.

International transfers

Netlify processes connection metadata in the United States. Transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (where applicable) and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (Decision 2021/914) signed with the respective processor. The Turso database itself is pinned to a European Union region (Frankfurt) so the analytics payload at rest never leaves the EEA.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the data linked to your identifier (Art. 15) — a self-service export is available on request from this browser via the "Manage privacy" button, or by email.
  • Rectify inaccurate data (Art. 16).
  • Erase your data (Art. 17) — same self-service path, or by email.
  • Receive your data in a portable JSON format (Art. 20).
  • Object to or restrict processing (Art. 18, 21).
  • Withdraw consent (Art. 7) via the footer link.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Autorité de protection des données / Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit, autoriteprotectiondonnees.be).

If you reside in Thailand, you have equivalent rights under the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA, 2019). The same email contact serves PDPA requests.

To exercise any right by email, write to william.sl@outlook.com with yourwk identifier (visible in your browser's localStorage under the keywk) so the request can be matched to the correct rows.

Your data in this browser

If you have accepted analytics, the controls below let you export or erase everything tied to your current browser without emailing anyone. The buttons do nothing if you have not accepted analytics or if no wk identifier is set.

Changes

Material changes to this notice will bump the "Version" at the top. On a version bump, previously granted consent is invalidated and the banner is shown again.
